How’s everyone doing today? Good, I hope so! I was just on a 3 day cruise out of Miami, it was a lot of fun! An unbelievable amount of food. I kept eating and eating because I’m a piece of trash.

Anyways, losing weight eating grilled cheese is a possibility! You can build muscle too. Lets get into the recipe so you can start making your own healthy grilled cheese sandwiches!
Best part of the recipe is, it can be made in 10 minutes with VERY little preparation!

How to make a healthy grilled cheese!
1. Ingredients You’ll Need for Healthy Grilled Cheese
- 2 slices of 12 grain bread (these are the larger slices of bread, they are 120 calories per slice). Substitute this with protein bread if you’d like.
- 56 grams (g) of shredded fat free mozzarella cheese
- 14 g of light butter
2. Directions To Make Healthy Grilled Cheese
- Turn the stove onto medium heat and wait for your pan to warm up
- While stove is warming up, measure out 56 g of fat free shredded mozzarella cheese and 14 g light butter
- Start warming your slices of bread on the pan far about 1 minute
- Put 7 g of light butter on the WARM side of each slice of bread
- Once the butter is applied, lay the bread on the NON-BUTTER side onto the pan
- Leave it like that for 1-2 minutes
- Then flip then onto the buttered sides
- Spread the cheese on the NON-BUTTER side of one of the slices bread. Then the lay the NON-BUTTER side of the other slice of bread on top of the cheese.
- Flip after 2 or 3 minutes or whenever the side of the bread on the pan is golden brown. Make sure your bread doesn’t burn
- Then when each side is golden crispy brown (or however you like it) it’s ready to eat!
This recipe has 28 g of protein for 370 calories.
That’s amazing. Of course, you can modify this however you like as well. Perhaps add some meat such as turkey bacon for added protein!
What I would recommend is adding a bag of protein chips. In the picture, I have bag of pure protein bbq crisps. These add 12 g of protein for 150 calories.
Better yet, you can get Quest Protein Chips. I’ve bought some while taking that picture and let me tell you, they are AMAZING.
So far, I’ve tried the loaded taco and nacho cheese flavor. Both are delicious!
Those are around 140-150 calories and pack another 18-20 g of protein! You could be eating healthy grilled cheese along with proteins chips and be getting in an easy 48 g for 520 calories.
My sparkling beverage only has 15 calories, that’s nothing.
